With the issuance of an electronic fuel card, according to the standard of freedom pass, which will be used at gas stations, the cost of purchasing fuel will be subsidized for 3 months. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Theodoros Skylakakis, adding that the said card will concern natural persons and self-employed persons with a family income of up to 30,000 euros.
Only one vehicle (not stationary) per beneficiary will be declared to gov.gr. Those who do not have smart phones, where the card will be displayed, will declare a bank account. For the mainland, the subsidy will be 0.22 euros per liter, or a total of 40 euros per quarter for consumption of 60 euros per month. The deputy minister stated, for example, that with a lead-free price of 2.10 euros per liter, the beneficiary would pay 1.88 euros per liter for the 60 liters.
For diesel, the final subsidy is 0.15 euros per liter. For example, with a fuel price of 2 euros per liter, the beneficiary will pay 1.85 euros per liter.
