O Le du located in the Thai capital Bangkok was elected the best restaurant in asia in 2023 . The distinction was given this Tuesday (28) in a face-to-face ceremony at Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants arm of the traditional world award that elects the best Asian restaurants.
Commanded by chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn Le Du advocates seasonal Thai ingredients, which are worked through a tasting menu with regional dishes made from a modern vision of French trends.
“This is more than a dream come true. The 50 Best is something special in my heart not just because of the rankings, but because of everyone in this room. This is the most important thing”, said the chef when receiving the award on the stage of the event.
In addition to being crowned this year as the best restaurant in Asia, Le Du was also consequently named the best restaurant in thailand .
The Thai house reached 37th place in the ranking in 2017. In 2021 and 2022, Le Du jumped to 4th place.
