Lula said the animosity of western powers towards China is due to the market gains in the Asian country on the international scene. The petista cited Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, right -wing exponents in the world in the 1980s, as an example of stimulating this type of globalization and free trade.

“China began to produce everything that was produced in the United States and Europe. You couldn’t buy a single pants, shoes or shirt that didn’t have the ‘Made in China’ inscription. They have copied everything with great skill and learned to produce as well as, or even better. Now that the Chinese have become competitive, became enemies of the world,” said angry, according to the magazine.

“We do not accept this. We do not accept the idea of ​​a Second Cold War. We accept the idea that the more similar countries are – technologically and militarily – the more they will need to dialogue with each other, because I’m not sure if the planet will handle a third world war,” he added.
