The statement was granted in an interview with the American magazine The New Yorkerpublished this Thursday (8).
“We need to say: Thank God we have China that, from a technological point of view, is very advanced and can compete in the technological world of AI [Inteligência Artificial]giving us an alternative to this debate, ”he said.

“China began to produce everything that was produced in the United States and Europe. You couldn’t buy a single pants, shoes or shirt that didn’t have the ‘Made in China’ inscription. They have copied everything with great skill and learned to produce as well as, or even better. Now that the Chinese have become competitive, became enemies of the world,” said angry, according to the magazine.
“We do not accept this. We do not accept the idea of a Second Cold War. We accept the idea that the more similar countries are – technologically and militarily – the more they will need to dialogue with each other, because I’m not sure if the planet will handle a third world war,” he added.
Lula is in Moscow on Thursday (8) for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and to accompany the military parade that marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the former Soviet Union about Nazi Germany in World War II.
