Everyone has a story to tell. A story of travel, climate, nature, territory. It is one of the most fascinating elements of mixed drinking: each drink has a wealth of elements to enchant anyone who approaches this universe.

For example, the Mojito was born in Cuba. It seems that the original recipe dates back to the end of the 1500s. It is said that it was invented by the pirate Sir Francis Drake, an English corsair who defeated the Invincible Spanish Army. To combat the crew’s dysentery he would have created an alcoholic drink inspired by the traditions of the place. The ingredients? Aguardiente (also called tafia), brown sugar, lime juice and mint leaves. For others, however, it was his subordinate cousin, Richard Drake, who conceived the drink. In any case, the cocktail was liked and spread with the name of El Draque becoming popular in Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela, in short, in all countries plundered by the queen’s pirate.
