The 1880 group, El Lobo and Doña Jimena nougats, estimated to close the year with a turnover of 25 million

The agri-food group Confectionary Holding, trademark owner 1880, Doà ± a Jimena and El Lobo, I foresee maintaining the sales of the Christmas campaign 2019 and a stability in the turnover of 2020 around 25 million euros.

The distribution channel has adopted different marketing measures and consumers are expecting know the progress of the pandemic and the measures that can be adopted, which sets a scenario in the purchase of Christmas sweets without precedent”.

In this sense, he has urged the Public Administrations “to define as quickly as possible the COVID-19 measures in the celebration of the Christmas holidays to transfer confidence and stability to the consumer, along with a defined horizon for your decision making. ”

With the first data available to Confectionary Holding on the start of the Christmas season, Josà © Manuel Sirvent trusts achieve sales similar to 2019 since “nougat is one of the traditional flavors of Christmas which is not lacking in the celebration of these festivals. ”

Boost to seasonal adjustment

Along these lines, Sirvent has underlined the throwing of sticks nougat and dried fruit with two of Confectionary Holding’s brands: Doà ± a Jimena y Moonlight, with more modern formats and in accordance with new consumer trends that are a boost to seasonal adjustment.

Thus, Do Jimena presents Sticks of turrón of four different flavors: sticks of peanut and almond nougat following the artisan recipe for making nougat, sticks of peanut and almond crocanti nougat with sea salt, sticks of peanut and almond crocanti nougat with chocolate, in addition to sticks of chocolate nougat with peanuts, honey and almonds.

Instead, under the Clair de Lune brand, three varieties have been developed: Sticks of Nuts crocanti with sea salt (made with fruits with peanuts, almonds and a touch of salt) Sticks of Nuts crocanti with chocolate (peanut and almond with a dark chocolate coating) and Sticks of nuts with chocolate and salted caramel (made with peanuts, almonds and caramel with a point of salt).

Among other novelties from Confectionary Holding for this Christmas campaign are the extension of the 1880 artisan line in “rilsan” format with new flavors of toasted egg yolk nougat with orange, toasted egg yolk nougat with cherry and marzipan nougat “Tutti Frutti”, as well as Polvorones de almendra 1880 0% added sugars.

For his part, El Lobo launches “All Natural”, a line of nougat committed to sustainability and health, made with more natural and healthy ingredients such as brown sugar from whole cane and free-range eggs.

The Turron Market, from December 4 to 8

In addition, the Nougat Museum, owned by Confectionary Holding, will open its doors for free from December 4 to 8 with the aim that society can know the origin and manufacture of nougat from the 16th century to the present. An initiative that will implement all the safety and hygiene measures against COVID-19 such as capacity control, groups reduced to 50%, use of mandatory mask and hydroalcoholic gel, among others.

Likewise, outside the Museum and during those days, a Turrón Market will be set up to boost the Christmas atmosphere, listen to Christmas carols and be able to taste and buy traditional and innovative Christmas sweets.
