The alphabet of rosé: 25 special labels to toast to Ferragosto

It may be for the iridescent pink color that recalls the summer, holidays, informal lunches and dinners in the garden or by the sea, picnics in the countryside and Provencal sunsets.
And it will also be for those fragrant hints of ripe fruit, cherries, roses, violets or wisteria that emanate from the glass and take you on a sensory journey.
That of rosé wines is certainly not a passing trend: they have conquered wine lovers from all over the world, they are glamorous, seductive, soothing and they are also very instagrammable.

There is no doubt, summer is pink.

Still or sparkling, so fresh, light and fragrant, they often solve the dilemma between serving a white or a red because they combine with great ease, from appetizers to cheeses, with raw and cooked fish, white and sometimes red meats, cold cuts, elaborate salads, gourmet pizza. Without neglecting the moment of the aperitif, a real one pink moment especially among young people.
Tasting various rosés, we also undertake a continuous discovery of vines that are generally devoted only to the production of great reds, such as Sangiovese, Merlot, Sirah, Nero d’Avola, Nerello Mascalese, but that with the right technique and a short contact with the skins give life to surprising new labels.

There are many Italian rosé wines, now almost all wineries have included at least one in their production. Following an alphabetical order we have selected 25 of the best, very different in origin, grape variety and color, some brand new, others already become icons of their cellar (Look at the gallery above).
So the motto of the summer could be “Drink & Think pink”, to live in the name of carefree.
