The president of the American Hellenic Institute (AHI) Nick Laryngakis, in a written statement submitted to the Appropriations Subcommittee of the US Congress, on Government, Foreign Enterprises and Related Programs, supported the provision of strong defense assistance to Greece and the Republic of Cyprus The statement of the president of AHI was made in the context of the congressional consultation on the foreign aid proposal submitted by the Biden administration for fiscal year 2025. Mr. Laryngakis underlined the proven geostrategic importance of Greece for the United States.
