A Saudi citizen and a Yemeni man were killed today when a Houthi rocket hit the southern Saudi city of Jazan, state media reported, citing an international coalition fighting Yemeni rebels.
The Saudi-led coalition later launched an offensive against the “origin” of the missile and said it would launch a larger operation against Houthi military targets.
A second rocket hit Najran, causing only material damage.
The Houthis launched the attack after the coalition hit a camp in the center of Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, earlier today. City residents told Reuters that the blasts shook Sanaa.
The coalition intervened in Yemen in 2015 after the Houthis ousted the internationally recognized government from Sanaa.
