The Voluntary Non-Profit Organization for the Care and Protection of Mother and Child “Ark of the World” held – after two years of abstention due to the coronavirus – a summer party entitled “Peace”, on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Amphitheater of the Athens War Museum.
The celebration, which was greeted by the founder of the Ark of the World Fr. Nikos Avramidis and the Ambassador of Ukraine Sergi Sutenko.
The “Ark of the World” awarded private initiatives of companies that help in the long and important work of the Organization. The General Manager of UTC International Transport SA, Ioannis Michos, received with great pleasure the “gratitude” award from the President of the Ark, Elder Stamatias Georgantis, for the valuable offer of the company, which counts almost two decades of development and evolution in the field. of Transportation.
The donation, amounting to € 50,000, through the Corporate Social Responsibility program of UTC “Guided by Solidarity” concerns the purchase of a nine-seater van for the transport of children, as well as a car. for transporting children to doctors and other necessary activities.
The emotionally charged event, which included theater, song and dance, was dedicated to “peace” with the participation of the children of the Ark, but also children hosted by the Organization, in all its branches throughout Greece, from Ukraine.
