The arrest of members of the “terrorist core that had been activated by Iran” announced the Israeli army today in a raid in southern Syria, while Syrian state television reported that three people were arrested by Israeli soldiers. Soldiers “conducted a targeted night operation and arrested many terrorists (…) in southern Syria” and seized “many weapons and bombs,” the Israeli army said in a brief announcement. According to Syrian state television, an Israeli patrol “consisting of 8 vehicles and about 40 soldiers arrested three people in the village of al -Basali” in the Kounitra Region, in the Golan Heights. Referring to the raid, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced that these three people are “three citizens of Palestinian descent” and that there was no “no conflict”.
