The project was advertised through social networks, messengers and YouTube site. To participate in it, it was necessary to invest from 5,000 tenge to $ 1,100. The depositors promised a high income and 10% bonus for each new involved participant. However, no agreements with the “investors” were concluded, and the documents on payment were not issued. As a result, more than 1,900 people invested more than 80 million tenge in the scheme.
At the moment, the investigation is ongoing, and in relation to one of the financial pyramids suspects, a preventive measure in the form of a non -departure subscription has been elected.
Earlier, the chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK) Timur Suleimenov said that cryptocurrencies are highly risk and complex financial instruments that are not intended for investors who do not have experience in working with them.
