The ballad of the broken shells: the clip of the new film with Lina Sastri in preview

Four families linked by a common destiny who live in the Sibillini Mountains, between the healthy air and the grassy foreheads. This is the premise from which he starts The Ballad of the broken shells, the new film by Federica Biondi in cinemas from 31 March which in this work wanted to tell the fragility of life and the strength of the sense of belonging, showing the protagonists who seem enclosed in a snail’s shell, not at all ready to collide with the unpredictability of life which, due to a tragic natural event, changes their existence overnight, putting everyone in front of a choice that leaves broken equilibriums and bonds to be rebuilt.

The protagonist of the story, set in 2016, is Jacopo (Samuele Sbrighi), son of actress Alba (Lina Sastri) and playwright Dante (Giorgio Colangeli)who lives in the midst of nature and always crosses it on foot, watching over his parents who have decided to move to an isolated house in the Marche Apennines to develop their latest show, a reworking of the Paradise by Dante Alighieri, which they intend to dedicate to the inhabitants of the place. A few kilometers away, close to the Sibillini, there is the farm of Lucia (Paola Lavini), who suddenly finds herself running the company alone, abandoned by her husband, attracted by an easier life. He will try to help her Jacopo di lei, with whom Lucia often exchanges cheese for a handful of nuts, trying to reorganize the farm as quickly as possible.

In a nearby village, instead, they live David (Simone Riccioni) and Elisabetta (Caterina Shulha), who live the expectation of the first-born between the fear of the future and the first sinister earthquakes. In the multiple tension of the moment, the boys see the foundations and certainties of their love shattered, dragged along, just like the other protagonists of The Ballad of the broken shells, from an earthquake that will make everyone lose something, breaking everyday life and the balance of their life and forcing them to find the strength to go on and survive by re-emerging from the rubble and pain. Each one next to the other. The film is a Linfa Crowd – Muvlab production.
