The President of the Republic of Cyprus gave instructions for opening a bank account at the Central Bank of Cyprus to support those affected by the fire in Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis, as broadcast by ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ.
In this account the public will be able to submit its contributions to support the fire victims in the mountainous region of Larnaca and Limassol.

Suggestions for the support of the victims of the fire
Mr. Anastasiadis reiterated that the government will help the families of the four victims of the fire tragedy, said in a written statement the government spokesman of Cyprus, Marios Pelekanos, who stressed that President Anastasiadis declares his readiness and his government, to provide any assistance deemed appropriate to those of our fellow citizens who have suffered damage as a result of the tragedy that follows the next day and significant environmental consequences.
As part of the effort of the President of the Republic of Cyprus for immediate, rapid and effective response to the consequences of the great fire, he had today a series of meetings and communications with the competent ministers.
Specifically: With the intervention of the President, generators have been sent to all the affected villages, in order to restore the electricity supply to the areas where there was an interruption. The President of the Republic gave clear instructions for re-announcement of the offer and immediate purchase of a portable coordination control center, which due to objections had not been promoted, in order to improve the on-site coordination of the units fighting on the front line.
Also, instructions were given that during the meeting of the Council of Ministers next Wednesday, suggestions for the first measures to be submitted in order to provide financial support to the victims, as well as the evaluation of the other aspects arising from the tragedy.
