“The Bear” breaks record for Emmy nominations for comedy series

The series “The bear” not only led the nominations in the comedy categories at the 2024 Emmy Awards, but also broke the record for mentions, with 23 . The title surpassed “30 Rock,” which held the best number since 2009. The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 76th edition this Wednesday (17). The production returns to the awards after coming out as the big winner at the last ceremony. In 2023, the series won six comedy categories: Best Series, Lead Actor (Jeremy Allen White), Supporting Actor (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Supporting Actress (Ayo Edebiri), Director and Screenplay.

Launched in 2022, “The bear” follows Carmy, a young haute cuisine chef who is responsible for running his family’s small diner after his brother’s death. There, he seeks to transform the place while dealing with a resistant and disorganized team. All three seasons are available on Disney+ .

The American actor Jeremy Allen White (“Shameless” and “For Adults”) leads the cast composed of Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Avenger”), Ayo Edebiri (“Abbott Elementary“), Lionel Boyce , Liza Colon-Zayas It is Abby Elliott (“How I Met Your Mother”).
