The third season of “The Bear” (“The Bear”) premiered in the United States on the 26th and CNN Brazil was present at the premiere in Los Angeles.
Jeremy Allen White plays the protagonist Carmy Berzatto, a chef who lives in chaos and anxiety. The actor told CNN whether he prefers the screaming scenes (quite common in the episodes) or the quieter ones that generally accompany the development of each character.
“I think it’s really good to have those quiet moments if you can really bring out your character’s inner life in a real way, and communicate with the camera and the audience without a lot of words or volume,” he explained. “But yelling is also good. Tough question.”
Asked what advice he would give to the character, Jeremy was categorical: “Talk to someone… You know? Talk to someone.”
Ayo Edebiri Plays boss Sidney in the plot who, although she is an anxious character, manages to be a foil to Carmy in several moments. The expectation for the third season, in fact, is about the business relationship between the two and how it will be developed.
Furthermore, Ayo debuts as a director in the new season, in the episode “Napkins”, entirely focused on Tina, played by Liza Colón-Zayas.
Liza told CNN that, despite crying after reading the script, it was extremely “easy” to be directed by her colleague. “We collaborated, we talked… She is kind, she knows what she wants and she prepared a lot. She trusted me, so it was easy.”
Ayo really does seem to be one of the most beloved actresses in Hollywood right now, largely due to her great sense of comedy both on and off screen. In 2022, she made a joke about being Irish that still holds up to this day.
In an interview, the actress joked that she had played the “little donkey” in the Irish film “The Banshees of Inisherin”, saying it was a tribute “to her people” – except she is not Irish.
But what if she had some Brazilian heritage? To CNN, the actress revealed that she is obsessed with the “Brazilian haircuts” that she sees on TikTok, and that she wants to adopt the “nevou” style (a nickname given to the technique of platinumizing all the hair).
The actress also said that is in the film “Omni Loop”, by Brazilian director Bernardo Britto. “He is an incredible Brazilian director, so I don’t know if it counts as a legacy, but at least as part of a small family of artists.”
The third season of “The Bear” premieres in Brazil on July 17th on Disney+.
