The Beatles: the band’s fourth album celebrates 60 years of release this Wednesday

THE release of the Beatles’ fourth album, entitled “Beatles For Sale” , turns 60 this Wednesday (4) .

Among the successes present are “I’ll Follow The Sun” and “Eight Days A Week” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 (one of the main American music charts) for two weeks in 1965.

To celebrate the date, the official Beatles page shared a photo of the album cover and received several comments from fans. “The Beatles were so good that they even added an extra day to the week,” quoted one internet user.

Recently, a new production about the Liverpool quartet arrived on streaming. Titled “Beatles ’64”, the documentary takes place in the same period in which “Beatles For Sale” was released. Produced by Martin Scorsese and directed by David Tedeschi, the film promises to capture the moment when artists arrive in America for the first time, in the 1960s.
