The beauty queen of Myanmar (2013 contest) joined the rebels fighting in this South Asian country against the military junta. On her Twitter account, she showed a photo with a machine gun in the jungle.
Khtar Khtet Khtet represented Myanmar at the first Miss Grand International beauty pageant in Thailand in 2013, after which she worked as a gymnastics instructor.
On May 11, she wrote on Facebook that “today is 100 days since we lost everything” and explained why she went into resistance.

The 32-year-old woman writes that she will “fight as long as she can,” “ready to give up everything and even give her life” to overthrow the “military dictatorship.”

The ex-beauty queen writes: “Whether you hold a gun, pen, keyboard or donate money to the pro-democracy movement, everyone should contribute to the success of the revolution.”
