The AnTuTu benchmark team has published ratings of the best Android smartphones in terms of price-performance in different price categories as of January 2021.
In January, AnTuTu decided to revise its pricing tiers. For example, the most budgetary category was expanded to 1999 yuan ($ 310) instead of the previous 1499 yuan ($ 232). This is due to the general rise in prices with the massive introduction of 5G models.
The leader in this category was the Redmi 10X 5G with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal flash memory, but Realme Q2 5G broke into second place, pushing the Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 8 Pro by one position.
In the 2,000 to 2,999 yuan category ($ 233 to $ 464), the Redmi K30S Extreme Commemorative Edition with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash is the leader.
In the 3,000 to 3,999 yuan category ($ 465 to $ 618), the iQOO 7 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash, announced shortly after the Xiaomi Mi 11 and seen as its direct competitor, comes first.
In the 4,000 to 4,999 yuan category ($ 619 to $ 773), the first place went to the Xiaomi Mi 11 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage.
Among the most expensive smartphones above $ 774 is last year’s Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition (Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra) with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash storage.
Note that iQOO 7 and Xiaomi Mi 11 are the most recent models in the ranking, they are based on the fresh flagship platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. Most of the models in the ranking are still 2020.
