The SuperJob job search team conducted research on gifts for Defender of the Fatherland Day. As it turned out, Russian men most often want to get a smartphone, but usually receive clothes, accessories, perfumes and cosmetics.

The most coveted gift for February 23rd is a smartphone. 11% of respondents would like to receive it. 10% of respondents would be happy with clothes or accessories, 8% would be happy with a gift in monetary terms. Another 6% of men on Defender of the Fatherland Day dream of manifestations of love and care from women.
4% of the respondents dream of a car or motorcycle on the eve of February 23: this is much less than 12 years ago, when 9% of men wanted to get a car on February 23. The fact that the best gifts for them are real estate, recreation and perfumery, said 2% of respondents. 1% each named alcohol, weapons or tools as the most desirable gifts for themselves. Something more unusual (for example, a dog, tickets to a theater or a concert, sports equipment or spinning) would like to receive one in five men (20%).
In reality, however, most often Russian men do not receive apartments and cars at all, but clothes and accessories, as well as perfumes and cosmetics: 19% of respondents spoke about this.
