It is true that Milan never stops, the city always invents a new way of living and also new ways to experience it, starting with new hotels, elegant suites in period buildings, but not only.
The new big openings in the city are hotels, aparthotels and boutique hotels full of atmosphere and hyper-contemporary: addresses that stand out for their style and concept with services designed for travelers in town for business or pleasure, but also for the same Milanese, constantly looking for new refined places to try a gourmet dinner or an aperitif with a view, but also the relaxation of a spa.

High ceilings, the furniture of an ancient noble palace, the period chandeliers, the attention to detail. Here you are two new suites in the heart of the most beautiful Milan, in Corso Magenta a step away from Santa Maria delle Grazie, in an elegant eighteenth-century building. The idea is by Vanessa Viscardi, owner and chef of “Cavoli a Merenda”, a place for good food and a laboratory of ideas. the suites have the names of their children, Leone and Notte, and for those who host the restaurant services, a beautiful terrace and internal courtyard. To be guests in the Milan of yesteryear.

Four Seasons Milan
The Four Seasons has managed to become even more elegant, with the metropolitan and cosmopolitan touch of the designer and architect Patricia Urquiola which has accepted the invitation to give a new allure to the common areas of this hotel which is located in an ancient convent and which has marked the history of the luxury hotel brand, since it is the first to open (in 1993) in Europe continental. Urquiola’s footprint has been welcoming since lobby, which has changed character with new neutral colors that interact perfectly with the sixteenth-century frescoes, and with accessories and furnishings that are iconic pieces of Italian design, from Cassina to Flos, and contemporary works by artists such as Vanessa Beecroft and Massimo Listri. Meanwhile, the Zelo restaurantalways led by the impeccable Executive Chef Fabrizio Borraccino, yes “Does it in two” becoming a bistro during the day with a menu of delicious and light dishes, and remaining a classic restaurant in the evening with a new a la carte menu alongside a surprise menu. Very elegant, like the Stilla bar, where you can stop at any time of day and where the aperitif is a ritual, entrusted to the bar manager Luca Angeli which offers sophisticated cocktails to be savored in an elegant setting, among the velvet armchairs and sofas around the semicircular counter or in the garden. Heart of the Four Seasons Milano, even the garden has been redesigned: in this case the touch is from the landscape architect and agronomist Flavio Pollanowho imagined it as “a garden to live and feel”, where nature is central: a piece of paradise in the city, to be discovered even with a stop at the new Raw Bar between specialties to drink and eat and DJ sets.

Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Touring Club Milan
Among the Milanese innovations in terms of hôtellerie, it is the most impressive: for the project and for the big names who have created it: Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Touring Club Milan is the first structure of the Radisson Collection brand of the Group in Milan, it is located in the building built between 1914 and 1915 by the Architect Binda which was the headquarters of the Italian Touring Club and now comes back to life with a project by Marco Piva studio, which has revised both interiors and exteriors keeping faith with the history of this magnificent palace. The main inspiration is the travel theme and therefore the history of the Touring, which is also revived in the details: for example the wood paneling of the rooms recalls that of the old trains, just as the headboards of the leather beds have the appearance of the seats of the trains of the past. The restaurant – Bertarelli Bar & Restaurant– bears the name of the founding member of the Italian Touring Club, Luigi Vittorio Bertarelli and is worth a visit, if only to experience the thrill of eating surrounded by books from the Touring archive. www.radissonhotels.com

You sleep in Chocolate Suite and Marshmallow Suite which, in addition to comfort and luxury accessories (the bathrooms are like mini-spas where you can also try chromotherapy), offer “Sweet corner” to feast on sweets. Vico Milan
Now that we are all looking for small, sophisticated places with tailor-made services, in Corso Genova, in the former factory where Legnano bikes were once designed, the perfect address has opened: a ultra chic boutique hotel with seven rooms and suites. It is the result of an idea by Neri Baccheschi Berti: a name that is a certainty, given that it belongs to the same family as Il Castello di Vicarello, a charming retreat among the most sought after and romantic in all of Tuscany. From Vico, as to Vicarello, the watchword is research: the search for perfection and beauty that is found in every detail of the structure, redesigned by the Sicilian architect Giuseppe Alito, who also designed many of the furniture by having them made by hand, and then paired them with pieces of design and crafts from around the world. And so, for example, the lamps by Flos dialogue with green marble from Greece, rugs from Iran, or majolica from Fez, but also with works of art by established artists and young people invited to exhibit. It is worth a stop, also for its speakeasy-style bar: in addition to excellent cocktails, Vico is the place to taste the fine wines of the Baccheschi Berti family.
