The best startups in Greece are presented at the 6th Venture Fair of The Hellenic Initiative

Some of the most dynamic Greek start-ups are preparing to seize the opportunity and present their proposals to investors from Greece and around the world at The Hellenic Initiative’s (THI) Venture Fair, which will take place in person on July 11, in Athens.

The 6th annual Venture Fair is the core of the events, within the framework of ATHINA2022, during which the 10th anniversary of THI will be celebrated, with the presence of Greek startups and charitable organizations.

THI is a global, not-for-profit organization that unites Greeks in the diaspora and philhellenes to invest in the future of Greece through programs that focus on economic development and crisis management.

It is recalled that Blueground, presented at THI 2016, is on its way to becoming a unicorn. Shortly after its presentation at the 4th Venture Fair of 2018, Think Silicon was acquired by Applied Materials. A few months ago, Spotawheel, featured in Vanity Fair 2016, received 100 million euros in order to expand its business in the used car market.

On the evening of July 11th, THI will host a reception at Zappeio Megaro and on July 12th, THI is organizing a morning volunteer event: participants will climb Ymittos to take care of the over 2,200 trees planted by THI last May, as part of the ongoing campaign to reforest the areas affected by the 2021 fires and to improve the quality of life. Afterwards, the members of the THI Board of Directors will sit down to a meal hosted in their honor by the US ambassador to Greece, George Tsounis, at the embassy residence.

The two-day program of events will conclude on the evening of July 12, with the first Athens New Leader cocktail, with guests of THI the dynamic New Leaders, young professionals aged 25-40.

The Venture Fair is an “American-style” presentation (pitching) to interested international and domestic investors.

The aim of the program is to attract capital to Greece and to strengthen development.

As noted in a statement “since 2015, when it first started, the Venture Fair offers a unique opportunity to young Greek entrepreneurs who wish to “raise” capital for their companies. Those who are selected are properly prepared by THI’s consultants”.

The start-up companies chosen by THI this year, among the many that applied, represent some of the most promising startups in Greece. These aim to “raise” funding of 2-5 million euros, while they are already intensively preparing to present their ideas, visions, and business plans on July 11.
