The shares of technology companies were the big stars of 2020. In the pandemic, e-commerce companies and businesses focused on digital stood out, in a world that had to migrate to online due to restrictions brought by Covid-19.

But now in 2021, with the reopening of activities, the actions of techs have lost the momentum they had last year. In addition, this type of company is the one that suffers most from the prospect of higher interest rates. With no respite from market expectations for inflation, the market projection for the basic interest rate, the Selic, for next year advanced to 11% per year.

Given this scenario, the shares of technology companies, which were the darlings of 2020, cease to be? Or, with recent declines, could they be a good opportunity to buy bearish?

To debate this issue, Luis Eduardo Bomentre, an analyst at Encore, will defend investments in techs. On the other hand, Pedro Paulo Silveira, Director of Resource Management at Nova Futura Investimentos, who argues that this is not the best time to enter the sector’s shares.

“The Great Debate – Investments” It will always have the presence of two specialists with opposing views to debate the pros and cons of the different investment options and solutions, as well as topics from the world of personal finance and the financial market.

The attraction is weekly and airs on Mondays at 9:20 pm.
