A few days ago, Tesla founder Elon Musk confirmed that the company will be upgrading Tesla Superchargers this year so that owners of other electric vehicles can use them. This caused a wave of indignation: Tesla owners are extremely unhappy with this decision by Elon Musk, calling it “the biggest mistake in Tesla’s history.”
We created our own connector because there was no standard back then and Tesla was the only manufacturer of long-range electric vehicles. This is a fairly thin connector for both low and high power charging. However, later this year, we are opening our Supercharger network to other EVs.
Elon Musk
In response to a question about whether Tesla Supercharger will be available for other electric vehicles in some specific countries, Elon Musk said that over time this opportunity will appear around the world.
Tesla owners have begun to criticize Musk, claiming that they are not buying expensive cars to queue up with an old Nissan Leaf, Chevroley Bolt or Renault Zoe. A Norwegian Tesla owner posted a photo of a similar queue for a regular refueling of electric vehicles, adding that he was scared to imagine what would happen at Tesla Supercharger gas stations.
Wow, the biggest mistake Tesla has ever made. With one single decision, you’ve destroyed your biggest advantage. They are selling their shares, and the next car will definitely not be Tesla. This is an incredibly stupid, somewhat sad decision, Elon.

It’s a shame! Is this your gratitude to all Tesla owners who believed in you and bought your product? Would you like to see a Tesla Supercharger filled with old Nissan Leaf and Chevy Bolt?

Awful idea! The queues are already staggeringly long, but now we need to share with other EVs? There is no logic here …
