The binding offers for ‘Flyover’ and ‘Kalamata – Methoni’ have been submitted

Today, Thursday, December 30, 2021, the binding bids were submitted for the first two road projects of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, implemented through PPPs, the highway “New Eastern Ring Road” (FlyOver), with a budget of 373 million euros, in Thessaloniki and the road axis “Kalamata – Rizomylos – Pylos – Methoni”, budget 251 million euros, in the Peloponnese.

The following economic operators submitted binding bids in the PPP tender for the “New Eastern Peripheral Road of Thessaloniki” (FlyOver):

– INTRAKAT SOCIETE ANONYME TECHNICAL AND ENERGY WORKS

– ASSOCIATION OF PERSONS AVAX SA – MYTILINEOS SA

– AKTOR CONCESSIONS SA

– GEK TERNA SOCIETE ANONYME HOLDINGS

The project concerns the construction of an Elevated Expressway (UTL, the so-called Flyover), approximately 13.5 km long, four of which on a continuous bridge, with four lanes, two plus an emergency lane (LEA), in each direction. The project is expected to have a temporary contractor at the beginning of the year and its construction will begin in 2022.

“KALAMATA – RIZOMYLOS – PYLOS – METHONI”

The following schemes submitted binding bids in the PPP tender for “Kalamata – Rizomylos – Pylos – Methoni”:

– ASSOCIATION OF PERSONS AVAX SA – MYTILINEOS SA

– ASSOCIATION OF PERSONS AKTOR CONCESSIONS SA – INTRACAT

The project includes the improvement and upgrading of about 20 km of existing roads, the construction of a new highway at a length of about 30 km, the adaptation and improvement of 14 km of vertical road network, the construction of a new side road network 41.4 km, the construction of 12 bridges and many accompanying technical works (level junctions, hydraulic works, retaining walls, etc.). The project is expected to have a temporary contractor at the beginning of the year and its construction will begin in 2022.
