The Bitcoin whitepaper was re-uploaded to Bitcoin.org after Craig Wright failed to prove in court that he was the creator of the first cryptocurrency under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.

The administration of the Bitcoin.org website notified users that after winning in court, the technical document “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” was again posted on the resources of the Bitcoin Core domain.

In 2021, the website Bitcoin.org was forced to remove a PDF file containing a technical description of Bitcoin from access due to a court order alleging copyright infringement. This decision was made after self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto Craig Wright won a trial in court against the anonymous group of crypto companies Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA), which accused Wright of lying.

In March, the High Court of Business and Property of England and Wales issued a final verdict in the COPA lawsuit against Craig Wright and denied the entrepreneur the right to impersonate the creator of Bitcoin.

“The court has ruled that Craig Wright, who is seeking recognition as Satoshi Nakamoto, cannot claim copyright on the White Paper of the first cryptocurrency. Also, in order to prevent further abuse of the judicial system, Craig Wright is prohibited from initiating lawsuits on the same matter,” the court decision said.

The day before, a Bitcoin follower known by the pseudonym Hodlonaut wrote on the social network X that the five-year-old trial with Craig Wright had finally come to an end, and Wright had refused to appeal. According to Hodlonaut, this means that the entrepreneur has given up the fight for the title of creator of Bitcoin.
