The 4th season of “The Boys ” comes to an end this Thursday (18), with the release of the 8th episode. Those responsible for the series used social media to make a statement about the political violence that occurs in the season finale of the series, which even had its name changed.
The statement was released days after the attack on the former president and current candidate for the presidency of the United States, Donald Trump . The attack on the Republican candidate also prompted the episode’s name change.
Previously scheduled to be titled “Assassination Run,” the season finale has now been titled “Season 4 Finale.”
On social media, those responsible for “The Boys” reported that the episode contains “scenes of fictional political violence, which some viewers may find disturbing, particularly because of the deaths that occurred during the attempted assassination of former President Trump.”
“’The Boys’ is a fictional series that was filmed in 2023 and any scenes or plot similar to real-life events are coincidental and unintentional,” the note reinforces.
“Amazon, Sony Pictures Television and the producers of ‘The Boys’ completely reject violent events and any form of real-world violence,” he concluded.
All four seasons of “The Boys” are available on Prime Video.
