Nine years after the historical referendum on June 23, 2016, the debate on Britain’s departure from the European Union remains more timely than ever, as public opinion in the country has changed dramatically. A new poll conducted by the More in Common thought tank and published in Sunday’s Times, reveals an impressive overthrow of the data. Specifically, in the question “if the 2016 referendum was now being held, what would you vote for?”, 52% of British participants voted in favor of EU stay (Remain), while only 29% would remain loyal to Brexit. The rate in favor of staying has increased by 4% in less than a year.
