The British media about the death of Prince Philip: What they write on the front pages

He died this morning at the age of 99 Prince Philip of Britain and the British media say goodbye to the Duke of Edinburgh.

Queen Elizabeth’s husband died at Windsor Castle. The announcement was made by Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of Edinburgh was the longest-serving member of the British royal family.

The Times writes: “Prince Philip died at the age of 99. The longest-serving member of the British royal family has passed away after serving the monarchy for 70 years.

The Guardian reports: “Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, has died at the age of 99.”

The BBC welcomed the news by writing: “Prince Philip has died at the age of 99,” Buckingham said.

And the Daily Mail reports features: “Prince Philip has died at the age of 99: the Duke of Edinburgh has died at Windsor Palace, three weeks after he was released from hospital.”
