The cabinet meeting is in progress

The cabinet meets under a rich agenda under the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, through a teleconference.

The topics of the meeting include a presentation by the Minister of Finance, Christos Staikouras and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Theodoros Skylakakis on the situation and prospects of the Greek economy. Of particular interest is the presentation by the Minister of Finance, Christos Staikouras and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Apostolos Vesyropoulos of the legislative initiatives: a) Occupied real estate, b) Guarantee Fund for Investment Services.

Also important is the presentation by the Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Notis Mitarakis and the Deputy Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Sofia Voultepsi of the bill for the national commission system and the framework of hosting unaccompanied minors.

The agenda of today’s meeting also includes a presentation by the Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, of the bill on business parks, by the Minister of Health, Thanos Plevris, the bill for the modernization of assisted reproduction and by the Minister of Tsiara, of the bill on the judicial police.

In addition, they include:

– Presentation by the Minister of Interior, Makis Voridis, of the legislative initiatives: Complementary measures for the implementation of Regulation 2019/899 on the European Citizens’ Initiative.

– Presentation by the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Giannis Plakiotakis, of a fundraising bill of the ministry.

– Presentation by the Deputy Prime Minister, Panagiotis Pikrammenos, on the establishment, formation and operation of a Government Skills Committee.
