The celebrity restaurant route in Paris

City of Light, fashion capital, city ​​of love and home of the Iron Lady (read Eiffel Tower). There are several attributes of Paristhe French capital that attracts millions of tourists annually and which can also be defined as a unique gastronomic destination.

With its bistros, brasseries and international cuisine restaurants, Paris draws attention for its renowned houses and star chefs. Among the people who are attracted to the bustling food scene are famous people from all over the world, especially during event periods such as fashion weeks, which take place between the months of January and July.

Beyoncé, Rihanna, the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Leonardo DiCaprio, rapper Kanye West and other music, film and fashion stars are seen leaving trendy restaurants – always with the intense popping of paparazzi flashes.

Among the houses frequented by the famous are typically French restaurants and other italians spread across the city.

L’Avenue

If you are a celebrity sought after by the paparazzi and have already set foot in Paris, you must have gone to L’Avenuealmost unanimous among the famous – especially among stars who live in Hollywood.

Among the orders are classics from French brasseries without too many complications: steak tartare, lobster, risotto with truffles, escargot and thin fries, which are present on the menu and in the photos shared on social networks. Drinks also accompany the dishes, such as bloody marys and even caipiroska.

In addition to the hall full of chandeliers, outdoor tables are spread out in front of the house’s facade, where it is possible to glimpse the tip of the Eiffel Tower. It is worth mentioning that one of the owners of the place is Jean-Louis Costes, who also runs the trendy Hotel Costes in the City of Light.

Girafe Restaurant

The high-ceilinged lounge, elegantly decorated in cream colors and filled with marble, already attracts attention, but it is the outdoor area with tables directly facing the Eiffel Tower that carries the fame of the giraffe.

Located on Trocadéro, the restaurant regularly receives famous people, such as models Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne, actors Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender, the couple Camila Mendes and Charles Melton – who were caught kissing in a moment of affection – and, more recently, Zendaya and Tom Holland.

In addition to the phenomenal views, the hot spot Parisian has a menu focused on fresh fish and seafood, as well as serving good drinks in a chic atmosphere and at the same time cool. The selection of oysters, pink prawns, crayfish, king crab and dishes with salmon, turbot, octopus and cod stands out. And booking is always welcome, don’t forget.

Le Stresa

Italian, traditional, familiar and very small – so much so that the tables in the lounge are even a little cramped. It is packed with executives, Parisian businessmen and, at times, celebrities – Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jada Pinkett Smith and, more recently, Justin and Hailey Bieber have been there.

so is the Le Stresa, created in 1951 by an Italian couple who named it after the city where he was born, but which passed into the hands of two twin cooks years later, Antonio and Claudio Faiola. THE Tiny salon decor carries the aura of the 1950swith mirrors, velvet curtains and woodwork.

On the menu, Italian classics stand out, such as linguine, stuffed ravioli, spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti vongole, carciofi and pasta with truffles. But beware: like certain restaurants in Paris, the house is not open on weekends.

Caesar Paris

Located a few meters from the Champs-Élysées, the Caesar is an Italian restaurant run by restaurateur Mehdi Abdelhedi who, by the way, is a personal friend of some of the most celebrated stars in world football, such as Neymar and Mbappé.

It is no coincidence, then, that these and other sportsmen frequent the house, such as Lionel Messi, Lewis Hamilton, even rapper Cardi B and models Gigi Hadid, Izabel Goulart and Naomi Campbell.

The dishes follow the Italian tradition, and the menu is filled with antipasti, pasta, ravioli, pizza, meat and fish. Of particular note are the burrata with cherry tomatoes, pizzetas with truffled cream, linguine with lobster, penne al pomodoro, veal and sea bass.

Surrounded by mirrors, the lounge is made of wood and the chairs are made of red velvet. O Instagram trendy house regularly posts the chef’s creations and celebrity visits to the place.

Dinand to Ferdi

Very close to Le Stresa and Avenida Montaigne, the Dinand to Ferdi It opened in November 2020 and, as the name suggests, is like a “little brother” to another Parisian house, Ferdi. The new restaurant presents itself as more uncomplicated and relaxed, with a nice facade, few tables and a short menu.

Fries, sandwiches – such as minced meat, cheese, raw onions and pickles -, ceviche, homemade pasta au gratin and nachos make up the menu. Among the celebrities, the couple Hailey and Justin Bieber had dinner there recently, as well as the rapper Kanye West was caught by paparazzi at the exit of the establishment.

Fouquet’s Paris

It is one of the most traditional and well-known brasseries in Paris. Open since 1899 on the corner of Avenue George V and Champs-Elysées, the Fouquet’s it is part of the Hotel Barrière and is recognized for its red awnings that spread over two terraces.

Renovated in 2017, the house still has a classic decor and continues its tradition of French cuisine on the menu, with steak tartare, sole à meunière and a selection of cheeses after the main courses. Among the signature drinks there is even Santos Dumont, a creation that takes rum, liqueur, passion fruit and lemon juice.

Among the celebrities, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Jamie Dornan, Nick Jonas and, more recently, actress Léa Seydoux, have already been spotted at the establishment. Most notably, however, the restaurant has an even deeper connection to the seventh Art: in addition to being an important meeting place for people linked to culture, it annually hosts the traditional gala dinner after the César ceremony, an award equivalent to the Oscar French.
