The Chair awaits an increase in investments in low emission energies and a decrease in oil in oil – Commerzbank

The International Energy Agency published an investment report in the energy sector yesterday, says Commerzbank raw material analyst Carsten Fritsch.

The production of schist oil in the US will probably reach its maximum point soon

“They are expected to reach a record level of 3.3 billion dollars in the current year and show a clear change towards investments in ‘green’ energies. Two thirds of investments will be made in low -emissions technologies such as renewable energy, nuclear energy, networks, storage, low emissions, efficiency and electrification fuels.”

“Investments in oil, gas and coal are expected to represent 1.1 billion dollars. Investments in the generation, transmission and storage of electricity will exceed fossil fuel investments by 50%. It is expected that investments in oil UPSTREAM CAIGAN 6% year -on -year for the first time from the fall induced by the coronavirus in 2020.”

“The main reason for this is the US schist oil sector in recent weeks, some US schist oil companies have already reported cuts in their investment plans. This reinforces the image that shale oil production in the US will probably reach its maximum point soon.”
