The Children for Peace 2021, the supportive face of celebrity

“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try spending the night with a mosquito,” says an African proverb. To remember it is Massimo Leonardelli, President of Italy of The Children for Peace on the occasion of 15° Charity Gala held in Milan on November 19th.

At Palazzo Parigi, 200 guests from the world of fashion, business, cinema and music gathered for an evening-event that has always aimed to raise funds for orphans, abandoned, sick and conditions of extreme poverty. Non-governmental organization founded in 2005 by the American Debra Mace, The Children for Peace Onlus operates in Uganda, Mali, Lebanon, Palestine and Colombia, some of the most disadvantaged areas on the planet, with volunteers who implement education and information programs on topics such as HIV, drugs, non-violence, food and economic support, giving children and to their families new concrete perspectives of life.
The non-profit organization, in particular, provides all that is necessary to ensure adequate school education: payment of annual fees, school material and transport. It also guarantees the necessary care to children and families for the protection of human rights and there are many projects carried out over the years with the help of the funds raised during the annual Gala Charity Dinner.

Leading this fifteenth edition, an effervescent Chiara Francini; on stage after the performance of Michele Bravi, also Piero Piazzi, ambassador of the non-profit organization, and the testimonies of the winners of the Awards 2021, the recognition of social commitment and solidarity: Mattia Villardita, the young employee who turns into Spiderman in his spare time to the delight of the children hospitalized in the cancer wards, Dominique Atim Corti, President of the FOnlus Piero and Lucille Corti, the photographer Keila Guilarte it’s the same Michele Bravi.

On the occasion of the evening, 80 thousand euros were raised which will contribute to the construction of a kindergarten in Gulu, Uganda for 350 children, to support the expenses for schools, food aid and medicines and to support the project. Rainbow in Sud Sudan for children’s food and medicine expenses.
