The Chinese are turning mobile GeForce RTX 3060 into desktop to bypass mining protection

As you know, Nvidia RTX 30 desktop graphics cards have been released for quite a long time in LHR versions, which have half the performance in Ethereum mining. But mobile video cards of the current generation do not have such a limitation. As it turned out, against the background of such a situation, mobile GPUs can be turned into desktop ones.

The source reports that at least one Chinese company has begun creating GeForce RTX 3060 desktop graphics cards based on mobile GPUs. Craftsmen from the Celestial Empire took the GA106 GPU, designed to create mobile RTX 3060, and began to create discrete video cards on it. Naturally, for miners, because such GPUs do not have any locks. Moreover, such an adapter has more CUDA cores than a desktop adapter, although it has half the amount of memory (6 GB). As a result, such a 3D card shows mining performance at the level of 50 MH / s, which is almost 40% more than the desktop RTX 3060 LHR.

Such adapters are sold in China for about $545-570, while the regular RTX 3060 starts there at $680. That is, such hybrid video cards are much more profitable for miners.
