The European Commission announced on Thursday 3/10 further humanitarian aid of 30 million euros with the aim of helping those most in need in Lebanon. This amount is in addition to the €10 million already announced on 29 September, bringing the EU’s total humanitarian aid to the country to over €104 million this year. “I am extremely concerned about the continued escalation of tension in the Middle East. All sides must do what they can to protect the lives of innocent civilians. Today, we are stepping up our humanitarian assistance to the people of Lebanon. Our new funding will ensure that citizens receive much-needed help during this very difficult time.
