The European Commission expressed a clear intention to complete negotiations with the United States before July 9th, amid intensive contacts at the political and technical level on the issue of trade duties. As the Commission announced today, the European Commission President Ursula von der Laien was held on Sunday with US President Donald Trump on the issue. “Our goal remains to reach an agreement before July 9th,” Commission spokesman Odf Gill said, answering questions about the new date proposed by the US side – on August 1st.
