The concert of May 1, 2025 in Rome: the singers, the presenters and how to look at it

The appointment is set: on 1 May 1st May Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano will be transformed, as per tradition, into the largest collective party of Italian music. After the first announcements, the official confirmation has arrived: there will be over 40 artists who will alternate on the stage of the concert on May 1st, a live marathon that will start at 13.30 and will end at midnight. A celebration between notes, words and civil conscience.

A pop party, a social mission

Promoted by CGIL, CISL and UIL and organized by ICompany with the artistic direction of Massimo Bonelli and the direction of Fabrizio Guttuso Alaimo, the concertone 2025 is announced as one of the richest ever. The slogan chosen for this edition, “United for safe work”, brings the theme – urgent and current to the center of the scene – of health and safety in the workplace. But next to the civil commitment, there is room for the universal language of music, with the claim “The future sounds today”, to indicate a line-up that looks straight to the present and who sings it.

From Elodie to Bruori Sas, from Achille Lauro to Giorgia, passing through Ghali, lightning, Gazzelle and Franco126: the list of artists is a journey into the sounds of contemporary Italy. Here is the complete cast, in alphabetical order:

Great attention to the new Italian songwriting, with a large representation of young artists that emerged from the indie circuit, digital platforms or directly from the Ariston stage. A generation that has so much to say, and does it loudly.

Noemi, Ermal Meta and Big Mama: who presents the show

To keep the ranks of this show over ten hours long there will be three very loved voices from the public: Noemi, Ermal Meta And Big mama. With them, an surprising and already loved presence on social media: Vincenzo Schettinithe physics professor who became a digital phenomenon thanks to his passionate and pop way of explaining science. An unpublished mix of music, entertainment and culture that promises sparks.

For those who want to enjoy the unique atmosphere of May 1st in the square, the appointment is starting at 13.30 with the opening act: Cyrus, Cosmonauti Borghesi, Joao Ratini, Sos – Save Our Souls, Vincenzo Capua and the three winners of the 1mnext contest: Cordio, Dinìche and Fellow.

Those who prefer to follow the event from home, can do so comfortably thanks to the live broadcast on Rai 3which will start with the preview from 15 to 16, and then continue with the first part (16-18.55), the second (20-21) and the third (21.05-24). There will be guests in the studio and connections behind the scenes, between exclusive interviews and special content. The concert will also be visible in streaming on Rainews.rai.it and on Raiplay.
