The consultation of the Ministry of Labor with bank executives for the implementation of the Digital Work Card has started

The consultation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs started yesterday with representatives of the sectors from which the implementation of the Digital Work Card will begin. Specifically, the General Secretary of Labor Relations, Anna Stratinaki – who coordinates the project – had a meeting with executives of the National Bank and Piraeus Bank. The meetings will continue with executives of other banks in the coming days and will follow contacts with representatives of supermarkets.

It is recalled that the planning of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs envisages the pilot implementation of the Digital Work Card in banks and supermarkets in June, as these sectors have long experience in digital systems of organization and personnel management. The measure will then be gradually extended to all other sectors (large and small enterprises).

The aim of the consultation is to proceed safely and within the schedule the creation of the necessary infrastructure for the Digital Work Card, in consultation with the stakeholders.

It is reminded that through the Digital Work Card will be recorded in real time (real time) the employment of employees (basic hours, overtime, etc.), which is a guarantee for the observance of hours and for the suppression of undeclared and indicated work. This is a key reform, funded by the Recovery Fund, which will prevent delinquency in the labor market while imposing a level playing field between companies.
