The country that did not record any coronavirus cases for the first time since last July

The news came at a time when bars, cinemas and theaters are set to open as part of the government’s timetable for easing restrictions, which was announced months ago.

THE Malta had last recorded zero cases on July 25, but since then new infections have risen to a peak in March, with 510 cases reported within 24 hours before declining again. For weeks in the country is recorded a single digit number of new infections, as noted by AMPE.

In Malta more than 50% of the population has been fully vaccinated and 75% have received at least one dose vaccine against covid-19.
