The high court of the Indian province of Himal-Pradesh rejected the request for the security of Abhishek Sharma, suspected of cheating 80,000 investors and cryptocurrency fraud by $ 228 million.

The judge admitted that Article 21 of the Constitution of India implies the rapid conduct of litigation, prohibiting the indefinite content of the suspects. Sharma has been there since October 28, 2023, however, the term of its detention is not the basis for the security for bail, since the suspect may be involved in a serious economic crime of a particularly large scale, the judge explained.

“Such actions cause damage to the country’s economy, so such crimes should be taken seriously. The decision to secure the interests of society and the state should take into account, ”the judge said.

The fraudulent cryptocurrency is created in 2018. In September 2023, the injured investor Arun Singh Guleria filed a complaint with the Palampurus police. He said that he invested Subhash Sharma through the Voscrow and Hypenext services platform, in exchange, having received virtual tokens. Investors made promises that investments in digital currencies through the charm platform would double the capital of depositors.

The creators of the crypto -piramid organized meetings for investors in different cities: Mandy, Kullu, Buddy, Chandigarhe, Una, Khamirpur and Palampur. The investigation announced that the suspects created fake companies and invested attracted funds in real estate in Himala-Pradesh, Chandigarhe, Penjab and Kharian. Fraudsters acquired luxury and expensive cars at the stolen funds, the state prosecution insists.
