Creepy are the moments he recorded on camera over a police officer’s uniform when he and his colleagues were called to go to a house in North Somerset, Great Britain, as there were reports “of a woman who is in great danger”. In fact inside the house was a woman shot with 39 knives by her partner.
«I would go out to get some smoke». These are the words calmly said to the police by a man who was arrested for murder of his partner. Owen Pelow, 43, was still on the phone with a first-aid call operator when police arrived at the door of the house where he was staying with his girlfriend, Lisa-Marie Thornton, 36.
Shots from a camera the policeman was wearing on his body showed a surprised man opening the door and saying, “I’s Owen.” When told to leave his home in Burnham-on-Sea, North Somerset, Pelow was reluctant to say “I do not want to.”
He called the police and reported the suicide of his girlfriend – He had stabbed her 39 times
Pelow had called the police, telling him that his partner had “committed suicide” when, in fact, he had stabbed her 39 times.
The video shows the man standing at the door of the house and saying to the officers: “He hurt himself πά He hits himself, three, five, nine…”. Then he said: “I had to put her to bed. It is my love”.
The incident took place at 7 in the morning on November 23, 2017, after Pelow had consumed a bottle of whiskey and six bottles of cider. The case came to light again and sentenced the perpetrator who was sentenced to life imprisonment, but will serve at least 17 years.
Pelow denied the murder during a trial at Bristol Crown Court, insisting that Lisa-Marie committed suicide.
At the sentencing, Judge Peter Blair told him: “Lisa was 36 years old when you killed her with a folding knife. You had a collection with more than 200 knives, it was something that fascinated you “.
He went on to add: “I can not say what led to your murderous attack, however, as far as we know, you took this knife and aimed it at your body more than 38 times.
“It seems that Lisa was behind you when you attacked her. That explains why there were no defensive wounds,” the judge commented.
