“The Crown” series will detail the origin of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship. The Netflix series, which is currently filming Season 6, is set to recreate their first encounter at St Andrews School in Scotland in 2001.
Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy will play the royal couple.
After William’s mother, Princess Diana, died in 1997, he finished his studies at Eton College. In 2001 he toured before heading to St Andrews where he landed at the same Middleton housing estate.
The two started dating in 2003.
Season 5 of the series ended with the end of Prince Charles and Diana’s marriage. The series will delve further into the late ’90s and early ’00s for the royal family.
