The Cypriot Plenary has today ratified the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the Government of the United States regarding the strengthening of cooperation in preventing and combating serious crime, which was signed in Nicosia on 1 December 2015. The text of the implementing agreement approved by the Council of Ministers on July 3, 2024. It is recalled that the agreement is one of the conditions for the inclusion of Cyprus in the Visa Waiver Program of the USA and provides that the parties will be allowed to use the data search powers provided for in the PCSC Agreement on the exchange of information about persons included in the databases referred to in Article 3(5) of the agreement.
