The death toll from the Russian drone attacks in Kharkiv and Odesa is three

Three are so far the people who were killed on Friday night in Ukraineduring of Russian drone attacks in Kharkiv and Odessaaccording to Ukrainian authorities.

Two people were killed, eight were injured, including a three-year-old child, and six are missing when a Russian drone struck an apartment building in Odessa.

“Russia continues to fight civilians (…) one of the enemy's drones hit a residential building in Odessa. 18 apartments were destroyed”Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on his Telegram account.

In a video posted by Zelenskiy, a large part of an apartment building has collapsed and dozens of rescuers search for survivors and victims in the ruins.

According to the Ukrainian president, the attack was launched by a Shahed drone.

For his part, Oleh Kiper, governor of the Odesa region, said that a man was pulled alive from the ruins as he was probably in the basement of the building at the time of the attack.

He added that there are eight injured from the blow, among them a three-year-old child who “has injuries to the calf and is under medical observation”.

Ukrainian state broadcaster Suspilne, citing local prosecutors, reported that six people were missing.

Meanwhile, in the village of Velikii Burlkuk, which is located about 100 kilometers from Kharkiv, a house was hit by a drone, causing a fire to break out. The body of a 76-year-old man was pulled from the rubble, police said.

“The house was completely destroyed. Police removed an elderly woman from a neighboring house”the same source clarified.

According to Kharkiv city authorities, drones damaged several vehicles and residential buildings, but there were no reports of other casualties.
