June 21st officially begins the Winter in Brazil. The occasion moves tourism in several cities famous for low temperatures, which naturally end up being more popular at this time of year. One of them is Gramado, in Rio Grande do Sul, at Serra Gaúcha and approximately 120km from Porto Alegre, the state capital.
The city appears in second place in terms of travel intentions for the coming months on the platform of Booking.com just behind Campos do Jordão.
At the end of last year, in another survey led by the company, it was among the eight destinations considered global trends for travelers from around the world in 2022, in addition to being the city where the Hotel Colline de France, which appears for the second consecutive year at the top of the Traveller’s Choice Awards 2022, TripAdvisor’s annual ranking. Colline de France
O Hotel Colline de France , in Gramado (RS), has the slogan of being “a little piece of Europe in Brazil”. The refined French decor features imperial-style furniture, all hand-carved and plated in 24-karat gold. Mountain House Hotel
One of the most traditional in Gramado, the Hotel Casa da Montanha opened in 1997. It started with Jayme Prawer, founder of the first homemade chocolate factory in the country, and his dream of bringing all the charm of mountain lodges in Bariloche, Argentina, to Brazil.

Opened in 2014, the Hotel Valle D’Incanto incorporated traces of local culture and Italian colonization in its design, from physical space to service. The Travellers’ Choice award, elected him as the most romantic lodging of the world this year.

Located in a private condominium in the center of Gramado, it has a beautiful view of the Quilombo Valley. Wood Hotel
Opened in 2018, the Wood Hotel has a more youthful and cool proposal. Its location is privileged, right in the center, on a street perpendicular to Borges de Medeiros, the most famous avenue in the city. Wood has only 23 accommodations, divided into two categories: Wood Room and Wood Suite, which welcomes families of up to four people.
