The differences between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 series showed live

Our colleagues from the Japanese site Mac Otakara got their hands on 3D-printed mock-ups of the iPhone 14 series smartphones and published a video demonstrating the differences between the new smartphones and the iPhone 13 series.

As previously reported, the iPhone 14 series will consist of a 6.1-inch standard model, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. According to earlier rumors, the new line will have the same overall design as the 2021 models, while the Pro variants could have a thicker camera bump to accommodate the new 48MP front camera and get two notches instead of notches.

The 6.1-inch iPhone 14 has a slightly larger camera bump than the 6.1-inch iPhone 13, making the latter’s case unsuitable. They also compared screen protectors designed for previous models to the iPhone 14 series and believe the new phones may have narrower bezels and the corner radius may change slightly.

The standard models will retain the bangs, and the new images suggest the bangs haven’t changed in size. By the way, the worst fears about the huge size of the new cutouts have already been confirmed. After the appearance of a photo of the protective glasses of the entire iPhone 14 line, a completely natural question arises: which design is more beautiful in the end.

Also, Mac Otakara tried to fit a mock-up of the iPhone 14 Max into the case of the 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max. The case fits perfectly, indicating that they are the same dimensions, but the camera cutout in the case is much larger than the iPhone 14 Max’s camera unit. This is not surprising since the iPhone 13 Pro Max has three cameras, while the iPhone 14 Max will have two rear cameras.

The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max mockups didn’t fit into cases designed for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max because the newer models have a larger camera bump.
