THE Netflix released this Thursday (5) the first teaser of second season of “The Diplomat “, political series starring Keri Russell (“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes “). You new episodes arrive on the platform on October 31st .
The teaser reveals a brief snippet featuring Kate Wyler (Russell) and her husband, Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell from “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel “), making a grand entrance at an event. The second season will feature the arrival of the Oscar-winning actress Allison Janney (“The Help “) in the cast.
Created by Debora Cahn (“West Wing: Behind the Scenes of Power “), “The Diplomat” follows a successful diplomat who, during an international crisis, must balance her position as American ambassador to the United Kingdom with a turbulent marriage to an unpredictable politician.
The first season of the series received a nomination for Emmy 2023 in the category of Best Actress in a Drama Series for Keri Russell. The first episodes of the series are available on the platform.
