The draft law on Business Parks was put into consultation

The draft law on the establishment, development, management and operation of Business Parks was put into consultation on Friday.

Specifically, the Minister of Development and Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, today, August 19, 2022, put the draft law entitled “Business Parks” in a public electronic consultation and the consultation will end on September 2, 2022, Friday at 6:00 pm .

The purpose of the draft law, as stated by the ministry, is to establish the framework for the regulation of Business Parks in order to achieve the attraction of investments, the stimulation of regional development and the strengthening of industrial production and green entrepreneurship.

The development of Business Parks is done for reasons of public benefit and aims to:

(a) regional development and environmental protection in the context of sustainable development,

(b) in the improvement of infrastructure, especially in areas that show underdevelopment and environmental degradation,

(c) in strengthening entrepreneurship and employment,

(d) to improve the competitiveness of established businesses,

(e) to improve the quality of life of the residents around or near the above areas,

(f) to ensure the long-term competitiveness of the national economy and development,

(i) in the green and digital transition of industry and business.

In this context, every social partner and every interested party is invited to participate in the public consultation, submitting their suggestions for improving the provisions of the proposed draft law.
