If we told you that Kaley Cuoco is much more than a comedy actress, would you believe us? Well, I hope so! Because thanks to HBO Max, the second season of The Flight Attendant in which he is the protagonist of a drama that will make you bite your nails.
This great series full of mystery, unexpected twists and a touch of dark and biting humor, is the perfect recommendation for a marathon.
The Flight Attendantthe star series of 2020
if you didn’t see The Flight Attendant when it premiered in 2020, we are sorry to tell you that you missed one of the best productions of that year. But don’t be afraid, here we talk to you a little bit so that you can run to the platform, catch up and get hooked on the new season.
It tells the story of Cassandra Bowden (Kaley Cuoco), a flight attendant whose life takes a 180º turn when she wakes up in Bangkok after a night of drinking that went from being all fun to complete horror when she discovers that there is a dead body in her bed.
Check out the explosive first season
Cassie tries to piece together the puzzle of what happened, but CIA agents seek her out for questioning and she realizes she’s in for a much bigger mess than she first thought. As if that weren’t enough, she has her own demons to face.
The series was (and is!) a critical and commercial success, proof of which is that it received two Golden Globe nominations and nine Emmy nominations. Many critics agree that this is Kaley’s best performance to date, capturing Cassie’s inner chaos in spectacular fashion.
Cassie’s problems have no end
At the beginning of the second season, Cassie is much better than we found her in the first. She’s sober, regularly attends alcohol support groups, is in a steady relationship with a man who treats her amazing, and keeps her job as a flight attendant (I mean, she’s living her dream).
But not everything is what it seems, as the work he does for the CIA threatens to destroy everything he has achieved since the events of the first season. A trip to Berlin turns out to be the beginning of the end because he not only blows up his car, but he meets a woman whose physical resemblance to herself is disturbing.
In this installment, we will see how he tries to balance every aspect of his life, while trying not to fall back into the temptation of alcohol. Will she make it? Or will everything she has built come crashing down?
HBO never disappoints us with the series it produces, as it has given us gems like Sharp Objects, Game of Thrones Y euphoria, each one very well constructed, always with the best scripts, setting and cast.
And of course The Flight Attendant is no exception, in addition to having comedy queen Kaley Cuoco in the lead role, it features talents like Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz and Rosie Perez. Not to mention that in season two they filmed in incredible locations like Berlin and Reykjavik.
When does Cassie’s story continue?
Like the first season, this second part will have eight episodes. The first two will premiere on HBO Max on April 22, the next two on April 29, and the next four will drop weekly to reach the grand finale on May 27.
So now you know, your Fridays in May are already taken! You have a date with your television to accompany Cassie in the spiral in which her life is about to fall.
