THE TV Globo afternoon session will show an unprecedented movie This Friday (25): “The Dream Factory” as part of the 60th anniversary of the station.
The track, which usually features cinema classics, will first spend the film directed by Guel Arraes and Patricia Pedrosa, which takes place at Globo studios and honors Brazilian television and the industry behind national soap operas.
The plot accompanies Rafaela (Luellem de Castro), an interior teacher in love with period novels and soap operas who decides to confess his love for the best childhood friend, Eleutério (Igor Fortunato). To his surprise, he’s also in love with her since school times, and the two soon get married.
However, after winning a contest to visit the set of the 6 soap opera she likes so much, Rafaela personally knows actor Sydartha (Humberto Martins), who is a fan. By confusing fiction and reality, she is attracted to the actor and perceives her marriage at risk of having to choose Sydartha’s idealized figure and her real story with Eleutério.
Produced by the Globo Studios Film Center, “The Dream Factory” is written by Jorge Furtado and Guel Arraes. The film has artistic direction by Guel Arraes and Patricia Pedrosa and production of Isabela Bellenzani and Raphael Cavaco.
